Questions we get every week
If your question isn't here, email us and we'll answer it in writing.

- How far in advance should I book?
- Two to three weeks gives you the widest choice of dates and the best rate. We keep a small number of slots open for moves booked inside seven days, and month-end Fridays fill first.
- How much does a move cost?
- Every move is a fixed price agreed in writing before we start. Single items start at $70, a 1-bedroom from $320, 2-bedroom from $520, 3-bedroom from $790 and 4-bedroom from $1,150. The truck, fuel, blankets, trolleys and straps are included.
- Is a long-distance quote binding?
- Yes. After a free video survey we issue a fixed price in writing. The only thing that changes it is a change to your inventory or access that you tell us about.
- Do I need to empty my drawers?
- Empty anything breakable, liquid or valuable. Clothing can stay in dressers under about 40kg; filing cabinets and glass-fronted furniture need to be emptied so we can carry them safely.
- What will you not move?
- Anything hazardous or perishable: LPG bottles, petrol, paint, ammunition, aerosols, fireworks and open food. We flag anything on your inventory during the quote so there are no surprises on the day.
- What happens if it rains?
- We keep moving. Crews carry floor runners and extra wrap, and the truck loads under cover wherever access allows. We only reschedule when a weather warning makes the roads unsafe.
- Do you charge extra for stairs or a lift?
- No. Stairs, lifts and long carries are inside your fixed price. Tell us about them when you request a quote so we send a crew big enough for the job.
- How do I pay?
- Pay after the move, not before. There is no deposit to hold your date — settle by bank transfer or card once everything is placed, and we email a GST invoice the same day.
